Sofia found her very easy to talk to and said she was understanding and kind which meant that she looked forward to seeing her each week.

Sofia said she helped get her worries away sometimes by just being able to talk about them openly with someone who understands. Sarah also shared lots of techniques such as visualisation, box breathing and self talk which were easy tools for her to use to help with anxiety and over thinking.

 

Since spending time with Sarah, Sofia has gained so much more in confidence in the way she thinks about things. She is able to switch to more positive thoughts when negative thought patterns arise and this really impacted her recent scholarship day.

meaningful targets for exercise

I initially saw Sarah because I felt I was not getting the best from myself when exercising and because I was not enjoying it.

 

I wanted to get to a place where I felt like I could achieve something again. With Sarah's help I looked at my relationship with exercise and answered questions that I never even knew I had!

 

Through gentle discussion Sarah identified areas of my thinking that we could address. She helped me to question my goals so that I could set myself more meaningful targets.

 

We were also able to work on other areas, so that I could deal with the negatives and barriers that will always pop up so that they no longer need to get in the way. I now have a set of tools that I can use to deal with these things, which have actually helped a lot in my life more broadly. Finally we looked at nutrition and strategies that can help, all of which have been manageable and which I am integrating into my life.

 

Since first meeting with Sarah I've noticed a really positive change in my general mindset, as well as moving towards the goals that I now understand better. I'd really recommend working with Sarah to anyone who is struggling for motivation, self discipline or enjoyment.
